The Orbit Collection is inspired by The Space Race—a competition and ideological conflict between Cold War rivals the Soviet Union and the United States for the first inspace flight and moon landing.

The Space Race is known as a time of aerospace pioneering and great technological achievements, one which used the cutting edge technologies of the time in order to explore universal mysteries.

The Orbit Collection features several rings and earpins. Orbit Collection rings and earpins are easily recognisable—they’re predominantly made of blue heat coloured titanium, sterling silver, lapis lazuli, and pearls.

The materials of the Orbit Collection have been specifically chosen to mirror the technological means through which The Space Race sought to answer ancient questions about the heavens.

For instance, titanium—one of the most abundant naturally existing elements on Earth—is used by the aerospace industry because of its strength, lightness, and its heat and corrosion resistance.

Juxtaposed with titanium is our use of ancient gemstones such as lapis lazuli and pearls, both of which have been prized since antiquity.

Lapis lazuli is a metamorphic deep blue rock which includes golden flecks reminiscent of the night sky, while pearls possess a comforting glow reminiscent of The Moon.

Historically, lapis lazuli was believed to ward off evil and was associated with wisdom and strength, while pearls were considered to promote purity, truth and loyalty.
