Pendant and chain: titanium, responsibly sourced sterling silver, ethically sourced 1.65 carat Brazilian amethyst, sterling silver chain.
This large but lightweight pendant and chain takes inspiration from tropical sea fauna. The winged and enveloping form of the heat coloured titanium recalls some species of the stunning and toxically colourful nudibranchs (sea slugs). The etched lines on the inside of the pendant reference the striations that can be found on the surface of various fish species as well as many gastropods, and the rippled texture of the sandy seabed itself. At the heart of the pendant lies a large, vivid amethyst set in sterling silver which is protectively embraced by the asymmetrical titanium wings of the pendant. Intimate and secluded yet strong and bright, this pendant evokes the immense power and mystery of the sea and its peculiar inhabitants.
