Romanov Memory

$2,700.00

Ring: responsibly sourced sterling silver and vitreous enamel.

The Romanov Memory ring pays homage to the famous Faberge Eggs, made by the House of Faberge in Saint Petersburg, Imperial Russia. The ring is made in an exploration of the concept of heirlooms and their significance as both objects of invested value and as recorders of history and personal narrative.

Romanov Memory has been designed with the intention of becoming an heirloom. In opposition to fast fashion and unsustainable practices, this ring is designed for longevity and made to be worn by generations beyond the primary user. Rather than depreciate with time, an heirloom gains value and appeal each time it is worn, and memories are accumulated associatively and even physically on its surface.

This ring is a result of many hours of work in both design and execution. Most notable is the process of enamelling, where layers of powdered glass are fused to the metal and slowly built-up over several firings.

Size: S 1/2 (9 1/2). See our Sizing Guide.

Dimensions: 2.3cm x 3.2cm x 1.9cm
